I did enjoy reading up on some pathology we have touched on - asthma, diabetes mellitus. The information is presented well and the use of histological and gross photography with diagrams and charts does work very well. The introductory chapters are good and I like that the topics are organised by systems.
The photographs were really beneficial and well done both the histological and gross anatomy.
This is an excellent feature and the main point of the series. It did highlight really well links to other topics. It definitely has the advantage of keeping the size of the individual books down while still covering a vast amount of information in the series. I also found that it kept my interest going in the topic as I could see the relevance to the overall course.
The case studies look really good and when we are studying pathology I will definitely use them.
I'm looking forward to start studying this subject!
